Have you ever wondered how far you can drive an EV on one charge? What if your EV wasn't charged completely? Could you get home or to a nearby charging station? This feature aims to answer these questions by using your selected EV's range to approximate how far you can travel with your specified battery state.

How to use goElectric

1) The Savings Calculator shows values computed based on the EV you select and the route you specify. Using the route distance and the number of round-trips you make, the Average Annual Cost to Charge the selected EV can be computed. The estimated Average Annual Cost to Fuel a Gas-Fueled Vehicle in Vancouver and Average Annual CO2 Emissions of a Gas-Fueled Vehicle are also calculated based on your specified route.

2) The Charging Stations feature helps users visualize charging stations within a specified proximity to their route. Once the route has been specified in the Savings Calculator tab, you can see how many round-trips you can make with the selected EV on 1 charge and click "Calculate Buffers" to highlight charging stations within the buffer range.

3) The EV Range tab shows the maximum extents you can drive to from a set point with your specified battery state. Set a location marker, adjust the battery state, and click "Calculate EV Range" to get started!

Charging Stations are available throughout Vancouver. Public charging stations are important for topping up throughout the day while drivers are out and about. Click on the lightning bolt icons to view more information about each station!
